Comment: | Kluyveromyces lactis is a petite-negative hemiascomycete yeast. Compared to Saccharomyces cerevisiae, it can use a wider variety of carbon sources, and many of its strains were originally isolated from milk-derived products in which the major carbon source is lactose. |
